CAVE CLUB // BRAND LAUNCH
During the height of Covid, Mattel launched a new brand within the dolls portfolio called Cave Club. To bring this vibrant and imaginative world to life, we had to come up with production approaches to bring the creative to life. To deliver eye popping graphic, we partnered with Carbon VFX, who helped execute animated 3D models of the dolls.
For the brand launch music video, we worked with an incredible choreographer who created a custom dance to our Cave Club theme song. Our choreographer taught the dance to five different dancers via Zoom, that showcased how collaboration could continue to thrive during lockdown. Each dancer was sent an iPhone to capture close up, mid, and wide angled shots with remote direction from our production team via Zoom. On the ground, we had support from the dancer’s parents who supported with setup and filming.
Our launch music video has over 4 million views and counting. With the success of the Cave Club doll line, it proved that we were able to successfully launch a new global doll brand during the pandemic. It’s the Cave Club!
